For Hibernus #2, Ken Verhoeven showcases his inventive use of rear windshield wipers from the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Suzuki Swift, and Mini Clubman as artistic tools. Each car was transformed into a “printing machine”: custom-cut Japanese paper was placed on the windshield, coated with silkscreen ink, and activated by the wiper. This process produced curved prints reminiscent of classical paintings, which, when folded, could take the shape of a fan or, when inverted, resemble a lampshade.

On the Suzuki Swift, he strategically placed a “Bad Boy” sticker on the rear window, whose embossed texture was imprinted onto the damp paper during printing, resulting in a unique surface quality. Verhoeven poetically reimagines car windows and wipers as graphic instruments.
