OPEN MASEREEL

SAVE THE DATE

OPEN MASEREEL returns!

For two days, art center MASEREEL will once again become a vibrant meeting place where anyone with a passion for art can discover innovative artistic work. This second edition of our biennial arts festival also celebrates our brand-new artist pavilion, designed by U/Define (Bruges) and Frantzen et al (Amsterdam).

In addition to the long-awaited pavilion, the accompanying art integration by Daniel Dewar & Grégory Gicquel, as well as a permanent intervention by Patrick Van Caeckenbergh, will be officially inaugurated. Six alumni have also been given carte blanche: Gerard Herman, Serene Hui, Lili Huston-Herterich, Felix Kindermann, Sandrine Morgante, and Josse Pyl. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to visit the pavilion before anyone else—before our residents move in and it is no longer accessible to the public.

OPEN MASEREEL will also host the premiere of Hibernus#3. Commissioned by MASEREEL, four contemporary artists have developed ambitious new work in recent months in our renowned workshop: Carlotta Bailly-Borg, Sammy Baloji, Julien Meert, and Shervin/e Sheikh Rezaei. A selection of their work will be available for purchase in a limited edition.

Finally, OPEN MASEREEL will feature a diverse public program and an idiosyncratic collection presentation. On Sunday, we will give special attention to our youngest visitors. A detailed daily program—including performances, artist talks, introductory tours, and food trucks—will follow in early May 2026.
