Shervin/e Sheikh Rezaei’s multidisciplinary work moves between installation, drawing, sculpture, sound and video, exploring the fragile balance between control and surrender, structure and dissolution, logic and intuition. By connecting personal experiences with organic and natural processes, she creates spaces where vulnerability, care and resistance coexist.

For Hibernus #3, Sheikh Rezaei created three monumental works in which the human body appears as a system that both undermines and sustains itself. What harms us can also be what makes us function: a constant tension between attraction and repulsion, care and destruction. Images that refer to classical iconography are interwoven with handwritten notes, diary excerpts and digital conversations. In this way, distance and intimacy, archetype and individual become intertwined.

Each of the three works, made up of multiple graphic techniques and provided with an artist’s list, creates an “in-between space” in which opposites coexist: a body that carries pain and desires at the same time, vulnerability that becomes strength, and self-poisoning that functions as a strategy of survival. Here, vulnerability does not appear as weakness, but as generative strength, a way to stay, resist and enable new forms of attention and connection.
