For MASEREEL, Jacqueline Peeters ventured into screen-printing for the first time. In the 1990s, she began painting fictional exhibitions because she had no permanent gallery and received no invitations to exhibit her work. These paintings were both a sharp critique of the art world and its economic structures, and an expression of her own struggle to find a place within it. But above all, they were an attempt to salvage her career. No. 68 is a unique edition that fits within this tradition: a numbered screen print that subtly echoes the Unsold Paintings.

This piece is part of the edition and was developed within the framework of Hibernus #2.
