Ken Verhoeven draws inspiration from found objects and situations to create new connections within his work. At the invitation of MASEREEL, he transformed the rear window, including the wiper, of three different cars (a Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Suzuki Swift, and Mini Clubman) into a “printing machine.” Sheets of custom‑cut Japanese paper were placed on the rear window and coated with screen‑printing ink, after which the windshield wiper activated the printing process. This resulted in curved prints that are reminiscent of classical paintings and, when folded, take the shape of a fan or lampshade.

Each of the three cars resulted in its own work. In the case of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, this led to a painterly play of bright colors, composed of six unique prints.

This edition was developed within the framework of Hibernus #2.
