AAAAAAAAAA is a visual work by Juan Pablo Plazas, inspired by the disappearance of our iconic A-frame artists’ residences. He imagines their ‘ghosts’ wandering through the woods, capturing their final lament in the form of a repeated letter ‘A.’

Ghostly silhouettes of the A-frame structures materialize through the cyanotype process, while silkscreened curtains – a recurring element in Plazas’ work – reinforce the theatrical nature of the print.

AAAAAAAAAAAA is a meditative reflection on disappearing, remembering and making visible what otherwise remains unseen.
