Apply now for Crit & Connect, a full day of feedback, exchange, and connection on Friday, September 26, 2025, at MASEREEL!

This unique, one-time event brings together a select group of artists from all disciplines to share their work and ideas with a professional curator, an experienced fellow artist, and the MASEREEL team. Across three rounds, the day will focus on in-depth conversations, inspiring demos (RISO, laser cutting and UV printing), and new connections.

Individual Critiques with curators and artists 

Take part in two one-on-one sessions (each approx. 45 minutes) to present your work to professionals from the art world and receive valuable feedback on your artistic practice. In advance, you can indicate which of the Visiting Curators (Nicolaus Schafhausen, Stella Lohaus, Sorana Munsya) and which of the Visiting Artists (Willem Oorebeek, Kelly Schacht, Melissa Gordon) you’d like to speak with. We’ll ensure you meet with both a curator and a fellow artist.

Demos & Workshops  

Explore hands-on demonstrations of RISO printing, laser cutting, and UV printing. Learn new techniques and discover practical applications for your own work.

Peer Meetings & Networking  

Besides the individual crit sessions, there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build new connections with fellow participants. You’ll also have the chance to talk with the MASEREEL-team and explore other parts of our extensive graphic studio.

Crit & Connect is an extension of the inspiring meetings with visiting tutors and fellow residents, which have been a central pillar of MASEREEL’s residency program for many years. With this event, we open our doors to a wider community of artists looking to deepen their practice, test new ideas, or simply gain fresh input.

Cost
Participation in Crit & Connect is free. However, if you’re selected and cancel late, we’ll need to charge a no-show fee.
